Gracie Harcombe

- Team Leader, Child Coaching

Hi, I am Gracie and I lead the child coaching programme at be-hive. I studied Psychology at university, and I have a Diploma in Health and Social Care..

I have worked in roles and teams supporting and caring for children, the elderly and disabled people. With children, my roles focused on enabling children to acknowledge their self-worth.

My goal is to make a positive change for those suffering with an anxiety disorder and low self-confidence. This became important to me after I experienced my own battles with anxiety and the journey, I took to rebuild my own self-confidence. It is not easy to figure out how to deal with the negative lens of social media and the feelings it produces for so many of not feeling good enough and lacking self-belief. Or to face up to your own inner challenges and build the resilience that every child needs.

be-hive’s team is full of people and coaches who are relatable, many of them with experience of anxiety themselves or in their families with their own children. Working with them, I want to prevent children from struggling the way I did. To give them a way out and to inspire them to live their best lives.

In my own time you can find me out on the moor, at the beach and with my animals. I have always loved animals as they give me a sense of comfort and calmness.
